BUHARI'S HISTORICAL MESSAGE TO APC DELEGATES!

As you gather for our convention, please remember that history, change and the hopes of Nigeria are there with you. They are there to ask you to perform according to your best judgment and patriotic conscience. I also ask you to do the same.

We seek a new Nigeria. It starts with us. It starts today. I have placed myself before you seeking your help to nominate me as your standard bearer for our progressive party, APC.

Personal ambition does not drive me in this regard. I seek to be the next president of our beloved nation because I believe I have something to offer Nigeria at this time of multiple crises. Insecurity, corruption, and economic collapse have brought the nation low. Time is past due that we work together to lift Nigeria up. I am ready to lead Nigeria to its rightful future.

I have always served Nigeria to the best of my ability. I have always tried to give more to the nation than it has given me. This is the principle of service that has guided my public life. Thus, I am not a rich person. I can’t give you a pocketful of dollars or naira to purchase your support. Even if I could, I would not do so. The fate of this nation is not up for sale.

What I will give you, and this nation is all of my strength, commitment, sweat and toil in the service of the people. What I can give you is my all.

I do not intend to rule Nigeria. I want to democratically govern it with your help. I seek a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims may practise their faiths in peace and security; a Nigeria that is just and where corruption no longer trespasses into our institutions and national behavior and a Nigeria where our diversity could be used for our national prosperity.

Nigeria is our home. Let us now turn it into the great nation we know it can and should be.

I thank you all

Muhammadu Buhari (RTD) GCFR

AT 70, NIGERIANS DEMAND ALTERNATIVE TO BUHARI!

As an intro, a section of Nigerian youths postulate that if push comes to shove and bearing in mind that PDP shakes whenever Tambuwal sneezes, APC should consider Hon Tambuwal/Amaechi/Fashola, the speaker of the House of Representatives as its compromise candidate for the presidency and forget the Buhari/Atiku perennial penchant for the presidential slot.

Posterity will not forgive the board of trustees of APC and its rigid egoistic leaders if they fail to bury ego, sentiment and personal animosity towards fielding formidable candidates to rescue power from the griping shackles of the present government of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Now is the time and period the opposition needs to get closer and capitalise on the low ratings both at home and internationally of the present administration.

Seemingly, as good as Buhari is, credible and experienced but the present dictates goes beyond the ephemeral and paraphernalia of semantics of integrity, these attributes are not cast in stone in any individual, it is innate in everyone waiting to be discovered. not a royal title, so to say.

Pundits respect General Buhari for his integrity but his obsession with wanting to be president is misplaced. He is seventy plus in age, contested thrice to no success, this will be his fourth attempt, being a past military leader.

Buhari's penchant and desire is seen more as an indictment of him, of his complicity in the failure that Nigeria has turned out to be. Great leaders build institutions that outlive them. Buhari should build a credible political party that will in the future produce credible leaders for this country and not incessantly obsess over becoming a president. This idea that if I am not the one who does it, no one else can must stop. Granted that Buhari did well when he was in charge, that was almost thirty years ago. The world has moved on. There is therefore an urgent need for regeneration. Enough of the recycled elders. APC MUST ACT NOW!

Gen Buhari's Son Arrested For 419!

Hope some Nigerians wont start saying this is persecution when evidently an offence has been committed!

An adopted son of a former military Head of State, General Mohammadu Buhari has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over an alleged N20( Twenty Million Naira only) fraud

The suspect, Mohammed Buhari, was arrested over a transaction that has the trappings of voodoo investment scheme. He allegedly obtained N20 million from one Mrs Florence Nwokocha, purportedly to invest in a lucrative oil and gas business with promises of mouth watery returns to the investor. Buhari was allegedly introduced to the lady by his account officer at Ecobank Plc and he agreed to pay Nwokocha, 30 percent annual interest on the sum.

But once the money was transferred, Buhari cleaned out the account but never paid any interest to the woman.

Sources at the EFCC informs that the suspect claims he ran into trouble after he lost the bank guarantee which he secured from another new generation bank. The bank, he claims, voided the guarantee on the ground that the branch of the bank that processed it was not competent to do so.

Buhari is still in the custody of the EFCC as investigations in the case continue.

PHOTO: SOLDIERS RESTRAIN TINUBU, BUHARI AT INEC ABUJA!

#Ribadu: Greatest disservice to the country and its democracy is for Nigerians to keep silent in the face of injustice.

This ia an epitome of standing up for injustice! Do your best for posterity. More photos inset!

Soldiers, riot policemen and other security agencies confronted the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during their march to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on November 28, 2013, Thursday.

After a strategic meeting in the APC’s new secretariat in Wuse 2, the Federal Capital Territory, which lasted about three hours, the party leaders took to the streets and embarked on a procession to INEC’s office in Maitama District.

The protesters however met a stiff resistance from stern-looking security operatives comprising the police, soldiers, SSS and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.

An armoured personnel carrier, marked NPF 6359 C, measuring about 40-feet long, was used to barricade the entrance to the commission’s office, while the driver of the truck and police officers were pelted with sachets of water by the APC youths.

In their separate speeches, the APC national Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande; National Leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; former chairman of ANPP, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu; and ex-Head of State, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd.), called for the sacking of INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, with immediate effect for his handling of the Anambra State governorship poll and the recent Delta State Senatorial by-election.
