Photos: Tiwa Savage Dusts Davido At London Sold Out Concert!

Photo: Tiwasavage!Photo: Eminadoooooo has set the crowd wowing! Tiwasavage firmly in control at the O2 Brixton! @lamzatblogPhoto: #Tiwasavage stage intro was simply out of this world! Spectacular! She was well dressed, shockingly! Live at O2 Brixton!
Sold-out show! Boisterous London ladies! Barbecue chicken and euphoria like Xmas, WOW, despite the jet lag, TiwaSavage was simply mercurial at the London O2 Brixton Academy. In a show paired with Davido, Tiwa simply showed that khaki no be leather! Her grand stage intro from the cocoon of an egg (photo below) was spectacular! Thrice she changed her costume on stage without missing any cue. Tiwa upped the ante by dedicating her performance to Africa's late heroes Mandiba, Fela, Dagrin.

Home to Davido, despite his hype, Vido was flat footed and stiff on stage! Drab and groin clutching all nite long, Vido was saved by his orchestra and array of popular songs, momentarily, the crowd had to do a double check to be sure it was actually Davido that was on stage! Vido did not hit the right cord, lovely nite in sum, anyway.

PHOTOS: NAKED TABLE TENNIS IN LONDON!

Naked table tennis comes to London

A London table tennis venue has hosted what it believes to be Britain's first ever naked ping-pong tournament.

Bounce, which is built on the site where the game was invented in 1901, staged the event in its 'anything goes' private room.

The £2.5m venue, which bills itself as the home of social ping-pong, invited a group of seven friends, who are all models, to take part in the event.

One player, Stefan Johnson, said: "We try to do something a bit different every time we get together but this probably tops our list.

"There were four guys and three girls and I think I speak for the men in particular when I say I'm just glad it was warm in there."

Bounce founder and CEO Adam Breeden said: "We are inundated with, shall we say 'unique requests' for our private room on a weekly basis.

"When the naked ping-pong tournament was suggested there was no question that we had to make it happen."

MASS PLANE SICKNESS ON EMIRATES LONDON FLIGHT!

Sixty children have been treated by paramedics after some of them began vomiting and suffering diarrhoea on a flight to London.

The friends, who are aged between 10 and 14, told crew members they were feeling poorly after taking off from Dubai.

Four ambulances, as well as a rapid response bike and a hazardous materials unit, met the Emirates Airbus A380 when it landed at Heathrow airport.

Most of the children were treated on the runway but 11 were taken to hospital in Hillingdon, west London.

The youngsters had been travelling back from Cape Town, where they had performed together as part of the 64-strong Only Kids Aloud children's choir, which rehearses at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.

The group sang with multiple Grammy and Classical Brit Award winner Bryn Terfel during their trip to South Africa.

An Emirates spokesman said: "We're providing the affected passengers with all possible support and are working closely with the local authorities to investigate the issue."

Pressure On UK For Immigration Amnesty!

The maverick mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has called on the UK government to grant an immigration amnesty to all illegal immigrants who have been in the country for ten years.

Mr Johnson said 'The alternative is to continue in a situation in which half a million people or maybe 750,000 people in Britain, most of them in London, not registered, with no papers, contributing to the London economy, making money, but not paying tax'.

No one knows how many illegal immigrants there are in the UK though the consensus seems to be that it is somewhere between 750,000 and 1,000,000. A 2012 study by the London School of Economics suggested that there were around 860,000 illegal immigrants in the UK of whom around 600,000 live in London.

'Crazy'
Mr Johnson said that the government's attempts to crack down on immigration were 'crazy' and were harming Britain.

Mr Johnson is perhaps the best-known politician in the UK. Polling shows that he is recognised, and liked by many people who do not know the names of any other politician. He has a considerable personal following and won the mayoral election for the Conservative Party in London in 2012 with 44% of the vote at a time when the party had under 30% support nationally, according to polls.

He told Total Politics magazine 'The idea that you can go to 500,000 people, most of whom have friends and neighbours and lives in this city and sort of rip them out, deracinate them, pull them up by their roots, it's not going to happen'.

UK TFL TRAVEL UPDATE ON TUBE STRIKE

Dear Mr Amzat,

Thank you. We will continue to urge the RMT union to work with us to help shape the future of your Tube. Unfortunately, at this point the RMT union have further action planned next week.

Travel advice

We were able to run over 50% of services this week and we aim to run an even better service should the strike go ahead next week. Tube services will be affected from around 21:30 on Monday 5 May and throughout the whole of Tuesday 6, Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 May.

On all strike days, including Thursday, first trains will be from about 07:00 and last trains will be earlier than usual. Some stations will be closed, although we had 80% of stations open this week. Services will not return to normal until Friday morning.

To help keep traffic flowing, we will be delaying or curtailing road works on major London roads where possible. The Congestion Charge will remain in operation. Roads may be busier than usual.

NEW LONDON TRANSPORT FARES TAKE EFFECT!

New London transport fares come into effect

Single bus and tram fares have risen by 5p but one-day fare caps on Oyster are unchanged

The cost of bus, tram and Tube journeys has increased as new fares for 2014 come into effect in London.

Fares have gone up in line with inflation, Transport for London (TfL) said.

Single bus and tram fares on Oyster smart cards have gone up by 5p to £1.45.

Peak and off-peak single fares on the Tube, DLR and Overground Zone 1 and off-peak single Zone 1-2 have risen by 10p, while cash fares increased by 20p.

Emirates Air Line cable car prices also rose by 10p but one-day fare caps on Oyster and contactless cards are unchanged.

'Inflation-busting fares'

TfL delayed the introduction of new fares after the government decided to cap rail prices at the retail price index instead of RPI+1%.

Mayor Boris Johnson, who had already announced travelcards would go up by 4.1% (RPI+1%), had to readjust the prices.

Shashi Verma, director of customer experience at TfL, said: "No-one's happy putting up fares but they need to go up because the cost of running the network goes up as well."

Up to 600 New Bus for London will be added to the network

Labour said bus passengers and travelcard users had been hit with "inflation-busting fare rises", with the cost of a Zone 1-4 annual travelcard up £122 to £1,800.

Val Shawcross, London Assembly Labour Group Transport spokeswoman, said: "He is saving people £4 a year on their council tax but is taking vastly more from them in higher transport fares."

The fare increases have also been criticised by the RMT union.

Janet Cook, from passenger watchdog London TravelWatch, said people were having to pay "an increasingly large share of their regular income on commuting".
