Popular pop star David Adeleke known by his stage name ‘Davido’ makes his first official acting debut in a new Nollywood movie title ‘John Zerebe’.

The new movie jointly produce by HKN and Viral Entertainment also stars popular screen names Gloria Young,Ikey Ojeogwu, Kanfui Danku,Emma Blag,Mimi Orijiekwe among others.

The movie ‘John Zerebe’ tells the story of the son of a modest middle income Pentecostal pastors. John is a smart and daring young man, whose desires in life are a sharp contrast to the doctrines preached by his father from the pulpit every Sunday. John’s lust for wealth and material abundance forms the pivot upon which this drama unfolds.

Sold-out show! Boisterous London ladies! Barbecue chicken and euphoria like Xmas, WOW, despite the jet lag, TiwaSavage was simply mercurial at the London O2 Brixton Academy. In a show paired with Davido, Tiwa simply showed that khaki no be leather! Her grand stage intro from the cocoon of an egg (photo below) was spectacular! Home to Davido, despite his hype, Vido was flat footed and stiff on stage! Drab and groin clutching all nite long, Vido was saved by his orchestra and array of popular songs, momentarily, the crowd had to do a double check to be sure it was actually Davido that was on stage! DAVIDO IS A BLATANT LIAR - NIGN IMMIGRATION!

Top Nigerian music artiste, Davido tweeted some days ago that he missed his flight to London because some immigration officers stationed at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos harassed him for money.( READ IT HERE) The Nigerian Immigration Service has now responded to Davido's claims.

In a statement released today by the NIS Public Relations Officer, Emeka Obua, the Immigration stated that on the fateful day, Davido presented a US passport number 460918874 issued at Georgia on Dec. 14, 2009 and valid till December 14, 2019, but was asked to produce a Nigerian passport, which he said he left at home.

According to the statement, "the officer now informed him that he should go and bring the Nigerian passport to convince him that he did not enter Nigeria illegally with a foreign passport without visa. Adeleke started arguing with the officer, who had to refer the case to his superiors and the verdict was that he could not make the trip unless he produced the said Nigerian passport.

“Livid with anger, Adeleke, in company with his bodyguards, started protesting in a disorderly manner, prompting the Comptroller of Immigration in-charge at MMIA to intervene. He advised Adeleke to call his bodyguards to order (caution) and comply with the lawful instruction which would not only erase any doubt as to his immigration status but also establish his claim to dual citizenship.”

Davido was said to have left and on the following day produced his Nigerian e-passport with number A02227477 issued at Abuja on August13, 2010 and valid till August 12, 2015.

“This behaviour of Adeleke is quite unfortunate. One would ordinarily have expected some form of commendation from him for the professional manner the officers, who attended to him, conducted themselves especially in saving him from embarrassment at some international port of entry by ensuring that his passport is endorsed as is the law and practice in Nigeria.

“The intention of this statement is not to to join issues with Mr. Adeleke but to set the facts of the incident, as it happened at MMIA on the said day straight.

According to report, when Iyanya got to the entrance, the bouncers refused letting him even though they clearly recognized him.

People around repeatedly told them it was Iyanya, but the bouncers still refused and said if he must get in, he had to call Davido or Kamal, one of Davido's crew member who was shuttling in and out to identify people who should be let in.

Witnesses said, most people who weren't invited where not allowed to get in, and if you must, you have to call one of the HKN group members, who will come out and take you in. Most people who felt they should be in, called Kamal, a member of Davido’s group who was always in and out taking guests in.

However, Iyanya tried making several calls, but no one picked after which he left to the amusement of onlookers who were gathered outside.

You saw the tweets yesterday from people who said they witnessed the fight at the club early Monday morning…now Davido’s camp have released pictures of his injured bodyguard, TJ, who was allegedly stabbed twice, in the neck and the hand, by the DJ of the club. They also released a press statement explaining what happened that day.

The facts: DJ Jaydee of Grotto stabbed Davido’s bodyguards, evades police

QuoteFalsified accounts of a recent incident at the Grotto club on Sunday have made the rounds. Davido’s Management hereby wishes to clear the air on them with the statement below.

After a successful outing at a recent concert on Sunday November 3 at Eko Hotels, popular musician Davido headed to the Grotto Nightclub on Victoria Island. After a brief stay at the club, Davido and his crew proceeded to his vehicle outside to head home. Upon entering the vehicle, he realized that his ATM card was missing. His body guard TijaniOlamilekanOgbeidebetter known as Teejay got down from the vehicle to search for the ATM card in the club.





Upon alighting, he was accosted by an already drunk ‘DJ Jide Jay Dee’who had in his hand a champagne flute. This DJ Jaydeeinformed Teejay that he had the ATM card in his hand and would like to personally deliver it to Davido. Teejay politely asked him to hand over the ATM card as it was clear that Davido was right in his view in his car. DJ Jaydee refused to hand over the card without payment and instead proceeded to shout that he knew who Davido was personally and that he [DJ Jaydee]was a known person in Lagos.

Teejayrefusd him access to Davido which led DJ Jaydee to throw the ATM card on the ground in anger. As Teejay bent to retrieve the card, DJ Jaydee stabbed him in the neck with the champagne flute he was holding. An oblivious Teejay threw him off his back and proceeded to return the ATM card to Davido.

As he was entering the car to leave, one of the occupants noticed the stab wounds and called his attention to the blood. Teejay promptly alighted from the car and went to confront DJ Jaydee who was still yelling outside.DjJaydee apparently not done with his violence stabbed the bodyguard a second time, this time on his hands and ran off into the club. Teejay searched for him to no avail and left the club soon after.

Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide has since reported the matter to the police and they have been to the club to invite DJ Jaydee for questioning. Grotto has been unable to deliver DJ Jaydee to the police, instead malicious and falsified accounts of the incident have found their way on social media portals being championed of course by sources intent on casting vile aspersions on Davido and his bodyguard Teejay. DjJaydee is yet to surface.Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide has pressed charges to this effect.



Davido’s management categorically refutes all the allegations of violence as insinuated by some. Teejay was carrying out his job by restricting access to Davido from an unknown and obviously inebriated and violent individual. He performed his duties as bodyguard and instead of resorting to violence, followed the dictates of the law.Members of the public and fans should please note that Davido was not present at this unfortunate incident that occurred that night as erroneously reported in a few quarters.
