FASHOLA DARES TINUBU! SNUBS KWAM1 FOR FATHER'S 8th-DAY FIDAU!

NIGERIA: A day old baby in the South West knows that King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall is the favoured entertainer of APC and Lagos State in particular although the chicken seems to be coming to roost right from Osun state. We reported that Osun state Gov, Aregbesola, prefers King Saheed Osupa, another very good fuji artiste to Tinubu's favoured musician. Well, it seems the patronage is fading out and things seem no longer at ease as witnessed at the 8th day fidau of Gov Fashola's dad burial. It was King Sunny Ade all the way, a tradition that was hitherto a taboo in Lagos state government entertainment circles. Now we all know better!

Juju music maestro, King Sunny Ade thrilled the crowd at the TBS with his scintillating performance as guests dance frantically to the rhythms of his music.

The good thing is that this preference has nothing to do with the delightful music of King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, but it all goes with the kitchen sink that variety is the spice of life, while some would say, eni kan kin je kile fe, the world is not for one man alone.

KWAM1 was spotted in the USA with Ebenezer Obey, may be that explains it, though that is unthinkable, but can be a veiled reason anyway.

Thousands of Lagosians had thronged the Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, venue of the Fidau Prayers to honour Pa Fashola, who died on 5 August, 2013 at the age of 80.

Most of the guests were decked in red and yellow head gears and caps while security was beefed up at the venue because of the array of dignitaries present at the occasion.

The 10 governors present at the event were Governors Adams Oshiomhole (Edo State), Dr. Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun State), Aliyu Babangida (Niger State), Muritala Nyako (Adamawa State), Senator Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun State), Senator Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo State), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano State), Captain Idris Wada (Kogi State), Sule Lamido (Jigawa State) and the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Eze Madumere.

There were also former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; former Secretary to the Federal Government, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed; Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; members of the diplomatic corps, members of the National and State Assemblies, members of the Lagos State Executive Council and many others.
