OSHIOMOLE IS DRINKING AKAMU ABROAD NOT ILL - COMMISSIONER!!

 

Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Louis Odion yesterday clarified that Governor Adams Oshiomhole is not receiving any treatment abroad contrary to the claims making the rounds. He spoke in response to the confusion and tension in the state over the health of the governor, who is yet to make any public appearance since an accident that involved his convoy last week Saturday.

Odion said the governor was healthy, hale and hearty and would preside over the weekly state cabinet meeting that will hold at the Government House tomorrow.

He said he met Governor Oshiomhole abroad before returning to the country during the week, explaining that the governor should have been back from his journey by the weekend.

Odion said the rumour regarding the governor’s ill-health was just being flown by his enemies to create confusion and destabilize the government.

“Quote me that I told you the governor is hale and hearty. He is fine. He did not sustain any injury as his enemies are claiming and we could not have lied that he did not sustain any injury if he actually sustained any injury. The rumour is the handiwork of those that want him to die.”

“I also travelled abroad and just returned to the country. I met him and spoke with him. He is fine. Right now, I cannot be so certain to tell you he is back into the country because I am not in town yet. But he will be in office to preside over the cabinet meeting on Monday,” Odion said.

It would be recalled that the governor’s convoy on Saturday, 28th December, 2013 had an accident at about 9.45am at Ewu in Edo State when a J-5 Peugeot bus reportedly loaded with plantains and tomatoes rammed into his convoy owing to brake failure.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, is currently battling for survival after a horrible auto crash which his aides noted that is not serious.

Some sources within Government House claim that the governor was flown to London to get treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

According to the reliable sources, contrary to the facts stated by his media aide, Kassim Afegbua, that all was well with the governor; in reality he sustained serious injuries on his head as well as pains in his heart.

It has been gathered that Mr. Oshiomhole was first attended to in the government house by his doctor of physiotherapist and medical doctor, but he never responded well to immediate treatment, hence he was promptly flown out in secret.

Journalists have been making frantic effort to get the true story after it was broken exclusively yesterday by a London based media, Elombah.com, but they have made no headway.

A source who spoke to the Paradigm correspondents queried why the government is scared of showing the world the pictures of the car which carried the governor on that fateful day if the car was not badly hit.

When The Paradigm contacted another official source within the government house, it said the governor was hurriedly flown to the United State in a chartered air ambulance. However, the source preferred to remain anonymous.

Governor Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole survived a motor accident at Ewu Village along the ever-busy Benin-Auchi road in Edo State at about 9.45am Saturday, 28th December 2013 on his way back to Benin City from his Iyamho Village.



The incident occurred at about 9.45am at Ewu, in Edo Central Senatorial District, when a Peugeot J5 Bus filled with tomatoes and plantains apparently lost control and rammed into the Governor’s Flag Car from the opposite direction before swerving into a roadside ditch.

Three vehicles in the Governor’s convoy were in front of the Governor’s Flag Car and had passed the Peugeot J5 Bus before it [J5 Bus] had direct impact with the Governor’s car, which had the Governor, his Aide-De-Camp [ADC] and his Driver as occupants.

The Governor’s Car was badly affected but both occupants of the Peugeot J5 Bus and that of the Governor’s sustained no injuries.

The Peugeot J5 Bus was following a truck that was descending the Ewu Slope when it suddenly veered off into the Governor’s lane from the opposite direction and directly impacted on the Governor’s vehicle, apparently because of brake failure.

Fortunately, none of the passengers in both vehicles sustained injuries. The Comrade Governor is hale and hearty, his ADC and other occupants of the Peugeot J5 are also in good condition.

The incident has been reported to the Divisional Police Station at Ewu for further investigation. This is to assure all good people of Edo State that there is no cause for alarm.

Their loving Comrade Governor is fine, hale and hearty as well as other occupants of the other affected vehicle. The Comrade Governor is wishing everyone a prosperous new year ahead.
