ANTHEM AND ORIKI OF IJEBU-AIYEPE OGUN STATE NIGERIA.

To the germane and the pedestrian, Aiyepe is the superbly blessed mega-town in Odogbolu LG area of Ogun state Nigeria. The town boasts of the best mosque in Nigeria as at the time of this post, amongst other firsts. Thus, basking in the euphoria of the apt adage that the great Yorubas of the world have an endless repertoire that is fast fading and diminishing due to non-existent records and archives, we therefore posit to bring to the fore, this rare and golden Oriki of all the 6 quarters in Aiyepe and the Aiyepe anthem to all and sundry.
We are exited, proud and well-primed to post and publish this for posterity.

Thanks to Alhaja Afusat Adeite Elias MBE, she is the No 1 Aiyepe personality in diaspora. A great, mother, grandmother and parent.

Please pass it on to all and sundry.

The governor stated this while speaking at the 29th Sagamu Day celebration held at the Methodist Secondary School, Ijoku, Sagamu on Saturday.

The former state governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, is from the town.

He said, “The frequent violent clashes between members of rival cult gangs in this area have continued to create fears in the minds of the residents of the town. It has become imperative that measures are taken to check the activities of the cult groups in this area.”

Amosun added that his administration would continue to collaborate with security agencies to ensure that Sagamu town was no longer a haven for people with criminal tendencies.

He added that aside from infrastructural development, a clean
and serene environment, security of lives and property was an essential ingredient that would encourage the development of any state.

After worldwide confirmation from the family of Rtd Admiral Mike Akhigbe that the man is alive, Ogun State SSA Media, #Funmi Wakama, posted gleefully, hoping to score a promotional point with Gov Amosun, a supposedly well crafted condolence to the family of the living legend, Mike Akhigbe! This is an institutional embarrassment and a dent on the image and media capability of Ogun State moribund media team! Below is the release from the website which we copied before it is pulled down!

Funmi has unwittingly turned hardworking Gov Amosun into a pun in the hands of the opposition!
