Kenilworth Tips And Analysis

KENILWORTH

Race 1
Race Summary: Of the runners to have raced, STRATOSPHERIC makes the most appeal. He ought to have improved since an encouraging introduction over track and trip, so looks the one to be with. NOT IN DOUBT made good improvement from his course-and-distance debut to second start and should, with blinkers now fitted, make his presence felt with further progress. The betting should provide a guide to the chances of the newcomers - LANG'S POWER, MASTER JOSH and MICHAEL FARADAY are of particular interest. Follow the market movers.

Selections:
#9 Stratospheric, #6 Not In Doubt, #4 Master Josh, #3 Lang's Power

Race 2
Race Summary: Competitive 2yo fillies' maiden. Speedy PORQUE TE VAS has been in the money in all 3 starts and wouldn't be winning out of turn - another forward showing expected. GYPSY EXPRESS made a promising debut in a winners' race and should improve for that experience in maiden company. HEAR MY VOICE and TURN THE PAGE are likely improvers after pleasing introductions and could make their presence felt. Watch the betting on newcomers ABSOLUTE PLEASURE, ELLA'S DELIGHT and ELSAS PALACE who could feature, especially if the market speaks in their favour. REESE and SKADI are others to take note of.

Selections:
#7 Porque Te Vas, #5 Gypsy Express, #1 Absolute Pleasure, #4 Elsas Palace

Race 3
Race Summary: Special Weights Maiden - tricky. Maturing BOWLED OVER improved to finish second at his last start and should play another prominent role with further progress expected. TCHAIKOVSKY was returning from a rest after gelding when finishing on the heels of that rival two starts back and should, on 1kg better terms, turn the tables in his peak run. FOREVER BILL, with a tongue-tie now fitted, SMITH AND WESSON and returning ADIRA are all capable of a better showing dropping in distance. WAR BANNER showed improvement on local debut, albeit in a work riders' maiden, and will have more to offer.

Selections:
#4 Tchaikovsky, #2 Bowled Over, #12 War Banner, #9 Smith And Wesson

Race 4
Race Summary: SHE'S MY CAPTAIN is overdue and sets the standard. SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL was on debut when finishing just off that rival and with natural improvement could turn the tables. PRINCESS LOUISA is another open to improvement after a pleasing debut so should be competitive. METAR, returning MIDNIGHT TRYST and PERFECT REVENGE could all improve with a run under the belt. Newcomers GLOBAL AVENUE and SILVER GARBO needn't be special to make their presence felt and the positive comments regarding the well-bred latter bode well for her chances. Watch the betting.

Selections:
#13 Silver Garbo, #10 Simply Beautiful, #1 She's My Captain, #9 Princess Louisa

Race 5
Race Summary: Good race. Stablemates KITTY CAT CHAT and CAPITANA are well-above average sprinters who have run well fresh, so should acquit themselves competitively returning from respective layoffs. IRISH MORNING has the benefit of recent race fitness on his side and should enjoy reverting to his only winning distance after a close-up second over 1000m. WORLDS YOUR OYSTER is prolific over this track and trip too but lost form prior to his rest and may need the comeback outing. FIREALLEY is capable of playing a role over this trip and ALL ABOUT AL has scope to improve after gelding, so must also be respected.

Selections:
#5 Irish Morning, #4 Capitana, #3 Kitty Cat Chat, #2 Worlds Your Oyster

Race 6
Race Summary: Small field loaded with class, none more so than that of returning former Durban July winner BELGARION who may need the run but has proven effective racing fresh. Consistent MARINA was far from disgraced when taking on male opposition in the Cape Town Met. She is capable over this shorter trip racing fresh and should make her presence felt. RAIN IN NEWMARKET is closely matched with that rival on the form of their previous meetings so is also likely to pose a threat. Both SOMERSET MAUGHAM and SEVENTH GEAR bounced back to form last time out and could have a say too.

Selections:
#1 Belgarion, #5 Rain In Newmarket, #3 Marina, #6 Somerset Maugham

Race 7
Race Summary: Good race, many with chances. ARCTIC DRIFT ought to have tightened up following a pleasing comeback run over shorter and should be competitive up in trip. SUDDEN STAR was only outrun late under a big weight (gave winner 4kg) on his stable debut and is likely to feature prominently once more under a distance that suits. LION'S HEAD finished ahead of KARIBA HALL and MAGICAL MIDLANDS in a similar contest last time and should confirm that form on revised terms. Progressive 3yo SECRET OASIS could prove hard to peg back under a light weight with blinkers removed. Tricky.

Selections:
#2 Sudden Star, #1 Arctic Drift, #3 Lion's Head, #7 Secret Oasis

Race 8
Race Summary: Open. FLEETING was making her return from a break when staying on to finish a close-up fourth over 1600m last time so should be competitive over the extra 200m with improved fitness on her side. PANZANELLA is a likely improver upped in trip and could get closer to that rival on these terms. A bigger threat, however, could come from last-start winner SONG who has rediscovered form and is ideally drawn. GOLDEN DAH, RIVER CAFE and NTINGA could also get into the picture. THRILLA, DOUBLE CHECK and MARGIN CALL are all capable of better than disappointing recent showings and could pop up.

Selections:
#4 Fleeting, #10 Song, #9 Panzanella, #1 Golden Dah

Race 9
Race Summary: CELTIC NIGHT produced an eye-catching comeback effort when running on strongly over a shorter trip and could go one better upped in distance. SYMPHONY OF LIGHT was also second last time out, in a similar contest, and could fight it out with a repeat of that effort. Lightly raced SILVER SABRE is talented and capable of posing a threat if fit after a rest. MARMALISA and MALEDIMO aren't without a chance either. Good race.

Selections:
#3 Celtic Night, #5 Symphony Of Light, #4 Silver Sabre, #1 Marmalisa

Race 10
Race Summary: Exciting 3yo filly WHOA WHOA WHOA has impressed in her short career. She returns from a break under big weight and, although not favourably treated by the conditions of the race, is likely to improve to notch up another victory. Stablemate WALK OF FAME is the best-weighted runner in the race and should acquit herself competitively on her comeback from a layoff. DAD'S CATCH and SONIC BURST are consistent sprinters who can usually be expected to give an honest account. QUICK BREEZE and LOUIS' DIAMOND are seldom far off and could also get in on the action.

Selections:
#1 Whoa Whoa Whoa, #3 Dad's Catch, #4 Quick Breeze, #2 Walk Of Fame

Best Win: #1 WHOA WHOA WHOA
Best Value Bet: #13 SILVER GARBO
Best Longshot: #13 SILVER GARBO
