Race 1
Race Summary: GUEST GETORIXX does not look an easy ride but was close-up behind the winner last time and does hold a winning chance. LADIES DAY has been a disappointment in that she has yet to win a race, but could contest the finish yet again over a course and distance that suits. VISION OF WILL has shown some improvement with the aid of blinkers and could finish in the money once again. WINTER JOURNEY has built up a string of runner-up positions and deserves her winning turn and this race could just be it.

Race 2
Race Summary: A small field and we should be treated to a competitive finish. One cannot rule out any of them. Visitor DIAMONDS 'N DUST likes the Polytrack and should be in the final shake-up. BECKONING BEAUTY is in good form but does battle to finish off her races. RIDE THE LIGHTNING is clearly improving and followed up her maiden win with a solid victory and could make it a hat-trick. MISS MAGICIAN likes the surface and has an obvious winning chance. Stable companions from the Kom Naidoo yard, CANDY FOR MY MOMMY and MAGICALLEE, were not far behind the winner in their latest start and are not out of it.

Race 3
Race Summary: GENTLE RAIN showed some promise when fourth on debut. He returns from a lengthy break but his trainer does run them fit and the Soft Falling Rain gelding should be the one to beat. APOLLO ELEVEN did too much too soon last time around and could benefit from a patient ride. FLUTE was not disgraced when third last time. Blinkers have been added and he should go close. SEA CRUISE and MON TRESOR have some fair form and must also be considered.

Race 4
Race Summary: LAKE COMO probably needed his comeback run and from a good draw should contest the finish. ULTIMATE JEWEL showed improvement in his second start and has a winning chance. WULFSTON is fit and ready and looked a trifle unlucky to lose last time out. He could go one better. HALLERBOS has improved with each run and should fight out the finish once again.

Race 5
Race Summary: A tough race to find the winner and a wide spread of runners will be needed for the exotics. RED ROSA fought on for a gallant win last time out but has to repeat that under a penalty. SHAKEN NOT STIRRED lacked a finish last time but was a wide-margin winner the last time she appeared on this surface. ROYAL KITTY and ONE BITE AT A TIME have been a disappointment of late but are clearly capable of doing better. ARCTIC PRINCESS and NKALANZINZI are both in good heart and would not be surprise winners.

Race 6
Race Summary: HEARTSEASE was a bit of a disappointment in her last two starts but deserves some respect. WEDDING BLISS tries the Polytrack for the first time but this Gauteng raider is distance suited and should be right there at the finish. HYDRANGEA has improved with the help of blinkers and comes in good form so could follow up and score again. SIEGE OF ORLEANS appears a difficult ride but is also in good form and deserves consideration. ROTUNDA has done well on this surface and is clearly not out of it.

Race 7
Race Summary: Another open-looking race. PETRA is in good form and from pole position could be the one to beat. DUBAWI PRINCESS may have just needed her last run and should contest the finish once again. Ignore the comeback run of PURPLE MERCHANT and she could be the surprise package of the race. PURPLE NKANYEZI is seeking a hat-trick after some nice wins and can score. WINTER FURI does look to have some ability and could take to this surface.

Race 8
Race Summary: Probably the toughest race on the card. HIGHER PURPOSE returns from a lengthy break but has a winning chance. GIMME A RAINBOW is battling to win but is consistent and he has to be considered. GAUL RULER is improving and could be better than his current merit rating suggests. WE ALL CHOMIES and VEGAS GOLD are battling to win but can earn some money. GREEN DREAM returns from a lengthy break but has a winning chance. QUEST FOR THE BEST is ready to run a decent race as well.
