Sunday Scottsville Tips

Sunday, 20 March
SCOTTSVILLE

Race 1
Race Summary: PRINCESS OZMA impressed on debut and on a line through Only Hearts could have the measure of AIR OF MYSTERY who also won her debut without too much of a fuss. The latter's success was over 800m and jumps in trip to 1200m but on pedigree should relish it. LITTLE MISS KJ is the value proposition. She ran on nicely on debut and at the weights could turn it around with EAU DE VIE who showed good pace to win her debut. RED ROSES TOO wasn't far off in that race and is also open to big improvement. Nice race with first-timers in the mix.

Selections:
#8 Princess Ozma, #5 Air Of Mystery, #2 Little Miss Kj, #6 Eau De Vie

Race 2
Race Summary: Vercingetorix colt GLADATORIAN was well backed to make a winning debut but just failed, showing inexperience. He can go one better as he knows this track now. SUNDANCE KID had everything go wrong but produced a thrilling finish to dead heat on debut. He could show a lot more this time but has drawn on the outside and carries top weight. ROYAL SOVEREIGN, the other winner in the race, also concedes weight but has drawn down the inside and could take advantage. AZTEC WARRIOR and LET'S GET TOGETHER showed potential on debut and should come on. More newcomers in it - follow the betting moves.

Selections:
#10 Gladatorian, #14 Sundance Kid, #7 Aztec Warrior, #6 Izuizorizuaint

Race 3
Race Summary: WINTER JOURNEY can put the record straight after finishing runner-up three times in a row. The 1000m at this track could be what she needs. VISION OF WILL has drawn well alongside WINTER JOURNEY and having finished ahead of the latter a few runs back could prove dangerous. She is better than her track debut when drawn on the outside and the addition of blinkers coupled with the 1000m trip could do the trick. LADIES DAY is another overdue filly and keeps running good races without winning. She could enjoy the track. ADDIENA and COUNTY KILDARE have improvement to come.

Selections:
#4 Winter Journey, #3 Vision Of Will, #2 Ladies Day, #11 Addiena

Race 4
Race Summary: RUN AGAIN has taken learning experiences in her stride and could settle a competitive race if improving over the longer trip. GREEN SLEEVES is better than her one try over 1600m. That was on the Polytrack and back on turf she could show the aptitude needed. Her last run was eye catching. ALABAMA SKY did a lot better from the front last time but only the race will show if she is as effective over a longer trip. FEARLESS KITTY has become a bookies' friend, having run second in her last four, where she was beaten as favourite in three of those. She can finally do it.

Selections:
#6 Green Sleeves, #8 Run Again, #4 Alabama Sky, #7 Fearless Kitty

Race 5
Race Summary: Tough fillies and mares handicap. Rested LUCKY MISS has won over this trip but showed versatility when scoring over shorter last time. On the up and drawn well she does have more to do at the weights. Stablemate TWICETHEQUALITY is overdue and down in class. She could also enjoy the track but is also racing after a break. ROTUNDA could be anything after winning her third start as she liked. She is switching to turf but may not mind it after a layoff. SEA EAGLE and OWLETTE carry light weights and could use their advantage. HOT STRIKE and LADY YUSRA can't be discounted.

Selections:
#2 Lucky Miss, #8 Twicethequality, #4 Rotunda, #5 Hot Strike

Race 6
Race Summary: LUNARCAM didn't enjoy racing at Greyville in his last two even though running a cracker there on debut. He is back at his best track and if ready after a rest could show true form. FLY THE COUP has gone close without winning and in competitive races to boot. He could come out firing after a rest. Anton Marcus perseveres with him. EDGARTOWN ran a decent race last time and could improve on that. He has shown decent potential. It could get close between the latter, SIR POM and MOUNT GREYLOCK who bled last time out. DANDOLO and AFRICAN SKYLINE have claims too.

Selections:
#5 Lunarcam, #2 Fly The Coup, #7 Edgartown, #10 Mount Greylock

Race 7
Race Summary: Good fillies meet before upcoming features. GLORY DAYS was unlucky to find just one better last time and can make amends. MOUNT LAUREL was finishing well when 0.50-lengths behind but is 2.5kg worse off with the former. KEEP ON DANCING could be a big danger if back in fighting form. She loves this track but does need a solid gallop to be set. LYRICAL DANCE on the other hand could get away if the race is run to suit her. She showed the form needed to win a race like this last time out. More with earning potential.

Selections:
#6 Glory Days, #7 Keep On Dancing, #2 Lyrical Dance, #1 Mount Laurel

Race 8
Race Summary: Probably the toughest race on the day. NAME OF THE GAME should enjoy the track and trip but will need a good pace. ANGEL OF JUSTICE won better than the margin suggests and has drawn well. If she stays she should follow up. GRUE OF ICE flew up last time and it could be she is in need of this distance. She has secured pole position this time. SIEGE OF ORLEANS on the other hand has drawn widest. She has the form needed to win the race but will need luck in running. CHELSEA FLOWER lost her last race on the turf by a neck and could enjoy returning to the grass. More can score.

Selections:
#5 Name Of The Game, #2 Angel Of Justice, #1 Grue Of Ice, #11 Siege Of Orleans

Race 9
Race Summary: DESERT ROSE takes on a much stronger field after beating a weak field. The horses she beat, Alabama Sky and Run Again, feature in Race 4 - follow them to gauge the formline. But she won well and has scope. MVULAZANA looked the winner before being overhauled by a more experienced sort last time. She could make further improvement over the longer trip. FATEFUL MISTRESS is loving this track with frontrunning tactics these days and should make them all run hard. LADY SERENA will need a good pace as she has to overcome a bad draw. SNOW TUNE can benefit from a wet track.

Selections:
#6 Desert Rose, #7 Mvulazana, #1 Fateful Mistress, #11 Lady Serena

Best Win: #4 WINTER JOURNEY
Best Value Bet: #5 LUNARCAM
Best Longshot: #5 LUNARCAM
