Police found cocaine hidden in a Kinder Egg and cannabis stuffed in a wheelie bin when they raided a man’s home in Suffolk.
Keith Vickerstaff’s home on Wainwright Way in Kesgrave smelt strongly of cannabis when police raided it, a court heard.
Officers searched the house on June 17 and found a gram of cocaine worth £40 in a yellow Kinder egg.
The 51-year-old ex-gas fitter said he used cannabis for medical probelms, and told police he had some in the kitchen and in a wheelie bin in the back garden. They found 44.4g of skunk and 49g of herbal cannabis. The total value of all the drugs on the property came to £725.
Magistrates at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court fined Vickerstaff a total of £200. He was also ordered to pay a £180 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and £20 to the victims’ fund.
The offences also put him in breach of a crown court sentence, for which the matter will be referred to Ipswich Crown Court.
