Segun Awolowo Jnr In Trouble Over GEJ's Campaign!

Onlookers say if it smacks of Ijebu smartness for him to make money from President Jonathan's administration and give lame excuses not to associate with GEJ2015 campaign!

Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Segun Awolowo is on the verge of parting with his job as he refuses to publicly acknowledge Jonathan’s re-election

And the reason for this development is simple - he refuses to publicly identify with his employers.
It was revealed that the grandson of late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo currently making a living as an appointee of President Goodluck Jonathan has refused to come out publicly to endorse the re-election Campaign of his principal.
According to our source president Jonathan handlers had attempted to draft him into campaign at securing better foothold in the southwest. He was supposed to come out as a beneficiary of the Jonathan administration as to tell the people why Mr President should be re-elected.
His open endorsement is expected to take the wind out of the advantaged All Progressive Congress Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari because Deola, the wife of his running mate, Yemi Osinbajo is of Awolowo clan which invariably makes him an in-law to Yemi Osinbanjo but Segun refused and kept giving excuses.
His body language was now interpreted as disloyalty by passionate supporters of President Jonathan's re election.
Against the backdrop of refusal to publicly identity with the source of his livelihood -and commit himself to protecting and ensuring his continuous employment, there are growing agitations for his sack.
“Those against him believe it is a simple case....if he doesn’t have enough faith in this administration to publicly throw his weight behind Mr president’s re election, he should go and someone passionate about the cause should come and take over'.
One of the reasons given by Mr Awolowo is that he can't publicly campaign against his cousin's husband, that it will portray disunity in the family.
It was also revealed that the string keeping him in place is the weighing effect of such move against an Awolowo. There are those who believe keeping him in place has its political value, the name Awolowo is still associated with the Jonathan administration -and outright sack would literarily be an act of war.
Segun Awolowo's grandfather, Chief Obafemi Awolowo aside being an enigmatic part of the nation’s history, remains the parameter of judging a leader in Yoruba land.
