Mirjana Puhar, a former contestant on "America's Next Top Model," was killed in a triple homicide Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C.
People reports Puhar's body was discovered in her boyfriend's apartment. She was 19.
Puhar was one of three victims, another being her boyfriend, 23-year-old Jonathan Cosme Alvarado. TMZ reports a friend of the couple went to the house after getting a call that gunshots were heard.
The friend entered the house, saw two bodies and then proceeded to call police. The friend didn't see the third victim, but did notice money scattered throughout the house, TMZ continues to report.
Yahoo! TV says police have arrested Emmanuel Jesus Rangel and charged him with three counts of first-degree murder.
Puhar participated in cycle 21 of "America's Next Top Model," and was eliminated from the competition on the 10th episode.
Cycle 21 winner Keith Carlos tweeted photos of him and Puhar, expressing his sadness after hearing of the news.
Authorities say the preliminary investigation provides evidence that the murders were drug related, TMZ adds.
