Three nurses and the Director of Administration of Ado Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Tayo Olawuyi, have been reportedly abducted by some yet-to-be identified gunmen.
The nurses were reportedly whisked way at about 3pm on Friday. Olawuyi was also kidnapped last week.
Eagleonline reports that the nurses, who are members of staff of General Hospital, Ifaki, were traveling to Ido Ekiti after close of work when they were kidnapped by the gun-wielding men.
The source, who also works in the same hospital, said: “The driver of the vehicle the victims were traveling in is called Mrs. Titilayo Ajiboye.
“One of the other women is called Mary, but I don’t know the name of the third person.
“The incident has thrown the hospital into confusion. Mary and the other woman live in Igogo Ekiti”, he added.
Olawuyi’s kidnap was confirmed by a staff of Ado Ekiti Local Government Area, who would not want his name in print.
The abductors, who were said to have come in an ash colour Toyota Camry, drove the victim away in their car.
It was gathered that the five-man gang also took Olawuyi’s official car.
The source said: “Since that day, the family has been trying to call him but the cell phone was switched off. In fact, there is confusion everywhere. This is the second time Olawuyi will be kidnapped in three years.”
Meanwhile, their captors are yet to get in touch with their families.
