GTBank Lands RCG Pastor In Trouble!

Christ once asked if on His return He will find anyone with genuine faith. The events in Christendom in recent times, even in so called houses of God are lending credence to Christ’s question which He asked over 2000 years ago or how do you describe an ordained and senior Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God getting involved in a Land scam because of money? Well, the saying, money is the root of all evil, did not exclude men of God.

The holiness preaching church’s Pastor was allegedly involved in a multi-million naira land scam that with a new generational banks, Guaranty Trust Bank.

The Pastor is presently in soup over the monumental land scandal at the Redemption Camp. He allegedly resold a large expanse of land that has already been sold to a company to GTB, which offered him more money.

The bank now has an imposing structure that houses its branch in the camp, while the company is crying foul. The bubble burst during the last Minister’s Conference at the camp, usually presided over by the General Overseer, Pastor E A Adeboye.

As the Conference was going on, with all the pastors and ministers already seated, some high-ranking management staff members of the company quietly made their way into the meeting. As soon as the embattled Pastor who resold the land to the bank sighted them, he hurriedly stormed out of his seat, made straight to the front where the G.O was sitting.

Fidgeting all over, he started making a startling confession to the G.O and his bewildered colleagues, that he actually took the land from the company and resold it to the bank because it paid more money, compared to what the company paid.

He owned up to the shady deal and wept profusely while begging for forgiveness from the G.O.

Everyone in attendance at the meeting was highly embarrassed and shocked at his confession because he was one Pastor many of them held in high esteem, with mighty anointing over his head and ministry. This Pastor is one of the Pastors of the church who were either sacked, demoted or transferred for various offences bordering on financial mismanagement, highhandedness, anti-church activities and so on.
