Betrayal Battle Between Ayoku And Adebutu Families!

The bond that existed between the families of late Solomon Ayoku and his bosom friend, Chief Kessington Adebutu, the lotto billionaire, may have snapped irrevocably. Ayoku, the owner of the popular Golden Gate Restaurant in Ikoyi, Lagos, died in 2007.He was 69 then. For the best part of his life, Ayoku maintained a filial and business relationship with Adebutu, the Iperu-Remo, Ogun State-born billionaire popularly known as Baba Ijebu.

They partied together and did business together. Their children carried on as friends and siblings. They were inseparable. But death has a way of rewriting humanity’s script. When Ayoku died, Adebutu vowed to be there for his family; he literally swore by his friend’s grave that all that he didn’t wait to do for his family, he would help him do. According to insider sources, in the first few years after Ayoku’s demise, Adebutu was a pillar of support for the family, providing financial and moral succour to the kids especially. As time went by, the ageing billionaire was no longer as active and generous as the Ayoku family thought and the gulf between him and his late friend’s family widened. Today, Adebutu has practically severed all ties to his late friend’s family. And the latter has also moved on with their life.
