Organised as a protest against oil dependency, the eye-catching event has the motto ‘bare as you dare’, and is also aiming at raising awareness cycle safety in the capital.
It takes place this Saturday from around 2.30pm, with six different starting points across London before the nude riders converge on the city centre in a mass protest.
The World Naked Bike Ride grew out of other similar protests against old dependency, and had its first event in 2004, with 28 rides in 10 countries, but by 2010 that figure had almost trebled.
There are now riders in several continents and numerous ciies across America, Australia and elsewhere in the UK.
