This incident is centred on a girl, or woman rather, called Funke variously surnamed as Kuku or Popoola as the occasion warrants. As usual, the procurer of easy-lay girls to his friends, Dr Supo Alli-Balogun, had in his brash, brazing and boisterous manner informed Funke Kuku that her current boyfriend, Quantity Surveyor turned Pastor, Yinka Ipaye, had been running his mouth wild and embellishing stories about his affair with Funke and how so many of the club members and friends had sampled the lower triangle offering of the torso of Funke.
The lady, taking offence and umbrage at the reported exposé by Pastor Yinka had, in the presence of 6 other people and in the office of Dr Supo, grabbed hold of a bottle of Big Stout (Odeku), swung it and smashed it hard on the skull of the pastor. Naturally, blood gushed forth from the smashed head and Dr Alli-Balogun sent Funke away from his premises and seriously and sternly admonished her and banished her from ever visiting his Ile Bintin Club which he founded at the rear of his old Lawson Street, Moloney, petrol station.
