A 34-year-old man has been charged with robbery after Barclays Bank's central London flagship branch was targeted.
Unemployed Teslim Adedibu, 34, of Edmonton, is due to appear in custody at City of Wesminster Magistrates’ Court charged with one count of robbery.
Adedibu is accused of stealing money from Barclays Bank, in Regent Street, on Monday.
The incident took place in broad daylight just after 9.30am.
He was arrested by the Met’s Flying Squad yesterday.
Cash was taken from the bank in Regent Street, at Piccadilly Circus, on Monday morning.
Police said no-one was injured during the robbery.
