OSUN PDP FRACAS: OMISORE SERUBA ADELEKE!

#LBW: The lifelong ambition of Iyiola Omisore is to be the governor of Osun state. Seems that is the only thing he is living for and that is his lifelong ambition, Just like Obanikoro, Omisore is gradually becoming a perennial governorship aspirant. Osun PDP has been in commotion as aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have started throwing bombs at each other ahead of 2014 gov election.


Omisore, Adeleke and Jelili

Recently, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, one of the governorship aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) accused the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan along side with the co-aspirant, Senator Iyiola Omisore conspired against him and allegedly assaulting him at the premises of an hotel in Osogbo.

Adeleke, who went to Ideal Nest Hotel in Osogbo to meet members of a five-man committee from the national headquarters of the PDP, who were in the state to conduct gubernatorial primary election for the four aspirants under the PDP umbrella, where he was attacked.

Adeleke narrated his experience:
“five-man electoral committee sent from Abuja to conduct ward congress invited we, the aspirants, to a meeting at the hotel and when I got there, I saw five men lying on the floor at the entrance of the hotel, with guns pointed at them by DSS operatives. When I moved closer, I discovered that they were my men and inquired what their offense was. They told me that they were thugs. I said that they were not thugs.”
He continued: “The DSS guys told me that they were acting on the authority of the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Adesiyan, who instructed them to hold my men. I intervened and they were released, with their phones earlier seized returned to them.”

However, reacting to the incident, Omisore’s Director of Media and Publicity, Prince Diran Odeyemi, denied the allgation made by Adeleke. He described it as tissues of lies concocted to create false impression, stressing that nobody beat or attacked Adeleke.

Also, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Maishanu, confirmed that investigation has commenced on the matter following report of the incident made by Adeleke.
