K1 and Saheed Osupa had been embroiled in a long-drawn rift that has polarised fans and the Fuji music industry in general. At the height of it, Fuji acts like Pasuma, Malaika and Safejo drew the battleline with Saheed, choosing to stay on the side of K1 in the matter.
Due to the forgone, many assumed that Osupa would not attend the weddings, but they were pleasantly surprised when the singer made a surprise attendance. At a point, Alhaji Fijabi, a close ally of K1, led Osupa, to K1 for a formal greeting and to the amazement of all, after persuasion by elders around, he prostrated for K1 as a mark of respect. According to him, “I’m a person that reciprocates gestures; K1 came for my mother’s burial, and I just have to attend his event too for the records. Even if he did not invite me, which he did, I would still have attended. I prostrated for K1.”
