The immediate past Executive Governor of Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria, His Excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) on Monday, 17th February, 2014 attended the ever-popular Monday Jazz Night session of the club.

After thoroughly enjoying himself, imbibing the fried rice, his favourite soft drink and the sophisticated Jazz music supplied by Andy Ikenwe (King of Jazz), Gbenga could not conceal his happiness and thanked the Chief Host of the night, Leader of the Jazz Section, Chief Abiola Johnson, for inviting him to the most thoroughly enjoyable Jazz Night. After the group leader had embellished the past Governor with encomiums, accolades and a historical voyage into his pleasant relationship with OGD and concluding by presenting 3 Jazz CDs as mementos of the evening, Otunba Daniel was so enthused of the evening’s joie de vivre that he donated the handsome sum of N500, 000 (USD$2000) to the Jazz Section.
Cognizant of the window of opportunity availed by OGD’s joyous mood, the club Chairman, Prince Ademola Dada, solicited Daniel’s assistance towards his pet project which is approaching realisation and ex Governor Daniel announced the donation of a complete and brand new lift (estimated at N17m) for the proposed 7-floors car park making his total donation for the night in excess of USD$100,000.
