There are three gazetted Erelu titles in Lagos, two of which are usually noted.
With due respect, The Erelu Osugbo which was Abiola Dosunmu (Akinsiku) is the most senior and only Erelu who performed customs, culture and traditional rites and had lawful rights to the only Orupo seat in the Osugbo Conclave known as "Iledi".

Erelu Abiola Dosunmu (Fernandez) is the Erelu Kuti who also performs rites and rituals in a different Iga but not as highly rated or as respected as Osugbo.
Upon the demise of former Erelu in 1983, Erelu Akinsiku was at home when the message of HRH Oba Adeyinka Oyekan came that she was made the Adele Erelu and installed as substantive Erelu by same Oba Oyekan in 1984.
Apart from the fact that both Erelu Akinsiku and Erelu Fernandez are cousins, it is pertinent to note that Erelu Akinsiku was a descendant of the prestigeous Akinsiku Royal Dynasty of the Iga Agbeshodi that owns the Adamu Orisa which is the most senior and expensive of the popular Lagos Masquerade. "Eyo Adimu" is the masquerade reserved for the senior citizens like President, Governor, Judges, Senators, Ministers, Ambassadors, etc, and Erelu Akinsiku was daughter of former Akinsiku of Lagos.
But after Erelu Akinsiku's installation, her distant cousin, Chief Apena Nosiru Dosunmu went to Mrs. Abiola Fernandez (whose real name is Sherifat) in London to come and emerge as Erelu Kuti. But after her installation, expectedly, there was conflict. This resulted in serious friction that ended in a battle of long litigation which Erelu Abiola Dosunmu (Akinsiku) eventually won. Court restrained Erelu Abiola Fernandez from entering the Osugbo Conclave to the extent of even daring to contest the Orupo chair with Erelu Agba.
As the respected Erelu Fernandez is known as a Celebrity Conservative, Erelu Abiola Sholabomi Dosunmu (Akinsiku) was an aknowleged mother of all and sundry, humble community leader and mobilizer who was not loud. Despite her wealth and inheritance, she deliberately pitched tent with the grassroots all through her entire life and prominent in CDA, CDC and other community meetings as well as local and international programmes with positive impacts on the less privileged.
Erelu Abiola Sholabomi Dosunmu (Akinsiku) fondly referred to as "ERELU AGBA" is survived by four children namely: Pastor Mrs. Olajumoke Onalaja (Nigeria), Chief Mrs. Kikelomo Gafar who is Yeye Oge of Surulere (Chicago), Dr. Hakeem Adegboyega Lawal (Winscosin) and Mrs. Fadekemi Olagbaju (UK).
Erelu would have clocked 79yrs by April 29, 2014 while Erelu Fernandez is in her early 60s. And until Erelu's glorious transition into eternal glory shortly after cross-over to 2014, she earned great honour and unquantifiable respect from all and sundry, particularly the Obas, High Chiefs, Government and Erelu Fernandez.
The above can be corroborated from the Gazette and all parties mentioned without doubt.
