The statement enjoined all Muslim faithful and the populace to support and cooperate with President Goodluck Jonathan in his sustained effort to build a peaceful, united and virile nation.
The Federal Government on Thursday in Abuja declared January 14 as public holiday in commemoration of the Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
The statement urged all Nigerians to use the period to pray for peace in the nation.
