Well, it is an open secret that Dayo Amusa, Eniola Badmus Funke and Fathia are hotcakes on the social media. This cannot be said of some over hyped English acts except Tonto Dikeh. Please read her outburst below after the cut:
Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, has cried out over the perceived sidelining of actors in the Yoruba sector of the movie industry byNigerian bloggers, while placing emphasis on the English sector.
This act, according to the beefy cross-over actress, is not placing them on the same leverage the English speaking have in terms of publicity and promotion.
She feels the Yoruba actors are unrated by Nigerian bloggers as they only give prominence to the likes of Mercy Johnson, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo, Rita Dominic and others.
Eniola Badmus painted a picture of total neglect, believing that theYoruba actors are inclined to put in more efforts at their jobs since making an indigenous movie is more tasking and they should be accorded more respect and mention in the media.
In her words: “I really don’t know why bloggers underrate Yoruba actresses and actors. I still feel they do more as indigenous movies are more tasking.”
