If you are applying for a UK visa in Nigeria you can now apply and pay online.
When you apply, you will be given the option to pay for your visa online before going to the visa application centre to submit a printed copy of the application form and biometric data (fingerprints and photograph). Appointments to submit applications at the VAC must be booked online when completing the application form.
You can pay online using Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards or via e-wallet (PayPal or PAGA).
Please ensure you have sufficient funds available before you apply and pay. If you need to create an e-wallet account, do this a few days before you apply to ensure that the funds will be available to use.
Payment online will need to be made in US Dollars (USD). When you have paid your fee online via Visa4UK, you will receive a payment confirmation email from WorldPay. You should print this confirmation email and take it with you to the visa application centre when you submit the rest of your visa application.
If you intend to travel on a work, study or settlement visa, you can ask your UK sponsor to make the online payment. Anyone applying for visit visas can also ask their travel agent to pay for their visa application as part of a package when booking flights and/or accommodation. Please ensure that your visa agent or immigration advisor is reputable.
You will still be able to pay for your visa at the VAC if you should wish to do so. However, from 16 December online payments will become mandatory and the VAC will only accept applications from those who have applied, paid for and booked an appointment online.
This is part of a wider change to allow the majority of our customers to apply and pay for their visas online by 2013-14.
