Its been brought to my notice by your blog and a newspaper that Alariwo was attacked by area boys sent by Busola oke also known as eleyele, and was seriously beaten because she was not recognized at the album launch of Soji Omotayo's wife which was anchored by Alariwo on the 19th of Dec 2013.
I want to clearly state the following:
* To start with this story is NOT true.
*The event was anchored by the duo of nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and Alariwo of Africa.
*Mercy Aigbe recognized a couple of people @ the event including Eleyele, while Alariwo also recognised a couple of people himself.
* According to Soji Omotayo, who I spoke with to clearify, Alariwo has known Busola Oke as a teenager even before she started singing. Her elder sister Jumoke oke and Alariwo are colleagues and they've both worked on a project (Sango) with Femi Lasode of Even Ezra studios.
Now the questions are: Was Busola Oke recognized @ the event or not? Must Busola Oke be recognized by Alariwo of Africa?
If Busola Oke will go to the extent of arranging area boys as claimed to beat up a Senior colleague in the name of not recognizing her @ an event or not calling him brother as claimed, what does that speak of her person especially since she says she's a gospel artiste?
Busola Oke has series of Issues of disrespect with the likes of Dele Taiwo, Lanre Teriba Atorise, to mention a few..
I was @ the event and i saw how a lot of musicians such as St. Janet, Obesere, Tunde Samson and Segun Nabi walked up to Queen Ayo Balogun to pay homage but Busola never greeted the Queen. Just imagine!
If If Busola Oke Eleyele is trying to use Alariwo's name for cheap publicity to draw attention to herself then I wish her the best.
