Narrating the unfortunate incident to our correspondent in Lagos. Sandra who came to visit her brother in Alaba said. ‘Few minutes after I stepped into the market, there was a heavy gunshot which led to people fleeing for safety, including I.My brother who narrated the incident to me said, the young lady who was the first victim, was conveying a large sum of money to the bank alongside two armed mobile Police officers hired by her boss (an importer in the market) for security reasons, when they were besieged by a power bike carrying two armed robbers shot her severally, alongside one of the mobile police officers, while the other escaped with several injuries.’. The armed robbers were interrupted which saw them releasing random bullets that eventually killed several people.

During an inquiry into the incident, it was discovered that the importer, whose name was not given as at the time of posting this report is among the richest in Alaba International.

Our correspondent was told that the young lady who was the victim was usually asked to remit money into the bank after the day’s sales alongside the two police officers who are often tipped to ensure her security whenever she moves the cash to the bank until the unfortunate incident that happened today.
