Amsterdam - The Voice magazine through “The VoiceAchievers award committee” is celebrating her 14th anniversary with the annual prestigious award ceremony to recognize and appreciate the hard work of men andwomen of African origin and friends of Africa who haveexcelled in various fields of human endeavours for the year 2013. This year's event and award ceremony will take place on 11th of October 2013 at Van der Valk Hotelin Almere, The Netherlands.

This year's event will feature SIERRA LEONE - the beautiful West African country that has shown resilience against all odds and working towards progress. Thehighest honour will be given to the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, His Excellency, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma for his achievements in placing Sierra Leone on the road to progress and his exemplary leadership style in Africa. He is this year's ‘Icon of Democracy in Africa'award winner.

Other deserving awardees who will join President Koroma in this classy and tasteful event are five Executive Governors from Nigeria; His Excellency, Governor Dr. Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Governor Dr. Jonah David Jang of Plateau State, Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta state, Governor Comrade Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state and Governor Barr. Sullivan Chime of Enugu state.

The late elder statesman of Nigeria, Chief Anthony Enahoro, have been listed for a posthumous award to be dedicated to his name at the fifth Achievers Awards ceremony.
