BREAKING: APAPA DPO CAPTURES BULLION VAN ROBBERS!

A gang of armed robbers attacked a bullion van in Apapa earlier today on okada and power bikes! The police escort took to his heels leaving the driver at the mercy of the marauders.

Coincidentally, the DPO and his able team happened to be on routine patrol at the time of the incident. They engaged the robbers in an exchange of fire. One of the robbers pictured above was shot dead while the ring leader was arrested. A Naval rating was shot in the exchange, though his condition is said to be stable.

The ring leader of the operation who happened to be on a power bike was caught in the exchange.

The captured ring leader pictured above is currently being detained at the Apapa Area Police Station.

The chairman of the council immediately visited the scene and the police station. He commended the officers for a job well done and pledged the council's support to the Police towards ensuring a crime-free Apapa Local Government Council.
