AGAIN! TURKISH AIRLINE ACCIDENT AT MMA!
These are obviously not the best of times for the Aviation sector in Nigeria. In the last three weeks, the country has witnessed an air crash and several other incidents including emergency landings and aborted flights. The Aviation Minister too is under scrutiny, not for the crashes but for ordering the purchase of two bullet-proof vehicles.

While air travelers continue to exercise fears about safety, a minor accident occurred at the Murtala Mohammed Airport early on Friday. As pilgrims who just returned from Mecca were disembarking from an Air Max’s Boeing 747 that conveyed them, an A 330 Airbus belonging to Turkish Airlines cut into the winglet of the 747 causing slight damage. Though there has been no official statement on the incident yet, airport sources disclosed that the incident might have been a result of poor visibility. No life was lost in the incident.
