UK OPENS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NIGERIAN STUDENTS!


The Chevening programme was established in 1983 and has developed into a prestigious international scheme. Chevening Scholars come from 118 countries worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU), and this year the Scholarships will support more than 600 individuals. There are over 42,000 Chevening alumni around the world who together comprise an influential and highly regarded global network.

Applications for 2014/15 Chevening Scholarships are now open. Applicants should refer to our apply pages for further details of how to apply.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme makes awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK.

The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master’s degree, in any subject and at any UK university.

Before you apply for a Chevening Scholarship, please ensure that you have read theGuidance for Applicants and the Terms and Conditions for Chevening Scholarship Awardsand that you meet the eligibility criteria. Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered.



Please submit your application electronically by completing the online Chevening Scholarships application form (using Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox - please do not use Safari as this may cause technical issues). Please note the following:

We advise you to submit your application well in advance of the closing date. Due to the large number of applications we receive we regret that we are unable to give individual feedback.
