A 38-year-old man who is suspected to have stabbed his brother to death in a brawl over a bowl of ‘Konkonte’, a local delicacy, has been arrested by the police.
The suspect, Abudu Abass, is said to have refused to share the food with his elder brother, Alhassan Abass, 46, with whom, according to neighbours at Asankrom, Abass was not on good terms.
The sources said Abudu, who was in an aggressive mood, grabbed a knife and stabbed Alhassan in the abdomen.
That, they said, resulted in Alhassan’s intestines gushing out.
They said Alhassan was rushed to the Tarkwa Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Abudu is currently in police custody pending police investigations.
