The deportees are mostly from Europe, Asia, United States, South Africa and other African nations.
However, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Mr. David Parradang, has read out riot act to immigration officers at all the international airports in the country, warning that the service will not hesitate to dismiss them if they are found wanting.
Besides, foreign countries have deported 361 Nigerians back to the country for various immigration offences since July through the Lagos Airport alone.
The Deputy Comptroller of Immigration, MMIA, Mr. Ekpedeme King disclosed this to the comptroller general during his visit.
King explained that of these numbers, 51 of them were deported from United Kingdom with charter flights and were handed over to the service.
He stated further that the service also had 48 inadmissible passengers in the same period under review while two stowaway incidents were also recorded within the terminal.
