GOV FASHOLA'S FATHER IS DEAD!

Ademola Fashola, the father of Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, is dead. He died overnight after e brief illness. He was aged 75. May Allah grant him Aljannah firdau. Governor Fashola is on his way back from Saudi Arabia where he has gone to perform the annual ummrah.

A source confirmed that the governor's father was recently flown abroad, on a referral from LASUTH. "He was attended to at the teaching hospital; and it was at the teaching hospital that he was referred abroad," he said, while refusing to state the nature of Fashola's ailment.

Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat sends his condolence thus:

My condolence to Governor Babarunde Raji Fashola and his entire household for the loss of their loving and kindness father Alhaji Ademola Fashola.
