Rumours started spreading about an affair a while ago perhaps due to the frequency of their being together.
Many could not come to terms with the romance because it is a known fact that before now, that the fuji artiste was in a love relationship with Fathia’s younger colleague, Sikiratu Sindodo.

It was also gathered that both Malaika and Fathia have been friends while Saidi Balogun was her husband but since Fathia’s marriage crashed, she has been searching for a companion, supposedly and naturally.

Nevertheless, Malaika’s romance with actress, Sikiratu Sindodo has been on for almost five years now or more. And, he has not also denied it in the press.

However, the fuji singer described their relationship as platonic and strictly business. “We are very close friends and we have a lot in common but we are not dating. Fathia Balogun is a woman I admire and respect so much. We have been very close friends for quite a while. But I don’t like discussing relationship issues in newspapers because this is a personal issue. However, I reacted just to clear the air,” declared Malaika who recently featured rave-of-the-moment, Olamide in a new track.
