The recent wedding of Pastor William Kumuyi’s son, John Kumuyi, has generated more controversy than it should. There is a strong social buzz about the whole issue and coupled with the fact that the church herself keeps coming out with one response after another.

Suspensions All Round

The couple in question has tendered an open apology and yet they were suspended. I thought it would end there. But just yesterday, I read that the Jamaican overseer has been removed and the very Reverend Kumuyi himself has also offered to resign.
What’s Wrong With These Guy’s

Pastor Tunde Bakare has condemned the suspension of the new couple, John and Love Kumuyi. Many commentators has also condemned it. And personally, I think its not worth it.

Personally I do not see anything wrong with the way the couple was dressed. Their dressing was very modest to say the least. I do however understand that people’s worry is that is was way out of the normal Deeper Life dressing standard.

And this brings me to my closing questions…

Should we follow the traditions of men or the traditions of the church or the traditions of the Bible?
