Laying critically ill at one of his relative's residence just a close distance from the venue of the collapsed building, Kabiru Ahmed a native of Kebbi state in the northern part of the country narrates his ordeal before and after the building caved in.
Kabiru who was rescued by volunteers and taken to Randle general hospital in Suru Lere was abandoned by the hospital authority when he could not afford to pay the bill.
After much protest by residents of the area, an ambulance belonging to the Lagos state government came to pick him on Monday for treatment another govt hospital only to be abandoned the second time.
Is this the true face of democratic governance or inefficiency in government owned hospitals.
Efforts to reach the general manager in charge of the Lagos state emergency management agency, Femi Osanyin-Tolu proved abortive as he has refused to pick his calls.
Meanwhile, recovery efforts by the Lagos state emergency management agency as officially come to an end as the bulldozer used to excavate the debris of the collapse building has been removed from the scene of the incident.
