Hip-Hop artiste Terry tha Rapman probably had that in mind when he decided to sample the music of Afro-Jujulegend, Sir Shina Peters.
The song will be Terry’s next single and he’s pretty excited about it. He tells HipHopWorld Magazine that the music project was borne out of “a need to give back to veterans that paved the way for us. Sir Shina was a maestro during his time and as Hip-Hop artistes, we tend to sample from all genres of music. Fuji, Juju and all that. I just decided to task myself and do something out of the ordinary.”
Terry recently shot the video for “Testing 1, 2″. Sarah Ofili and rappers Vector & A1 all make cameos in the visual. “Testing 1, 2″ sees the Rapman rhyming over a Naija pop beat.
